Where and how?

💻 I am currently seeing clients virtually at this moment.

😷 If requested, I will see clients in person with COVID-19 protocols in place.

Prioritizing Clientele

  • Black, Indigenous + People of the Global Majority

  • Queer Folx (2SLGBTQIA+)

  • Justice-involved, formerly incarcerated, system-impacted

  • Immigrants, Refugees, Diaspora

  • Undocumented Individuals + Asylum Seekers

Payment

Payment is collected in full at each session through Ivy Pay, a secure platform that is HIPAA-compliant and accepts debit, credit, and HSA/FSA cards.

Sliding Scale/Anti-Oppression Scale

The sliding scale rate is available and priced by the individual's capacity to pay for their session due to their financial situation. Sliding Scale fee can fluctuate throughout our time together.

This fee structure exists to help make therapy more affordable and available for folx who don't have the same access to mental health services as financially privileged communities.

A sliding fee scale may be ideal for folx who need to pay out of pocket because they don't have health insurance or cannot access quality mental health service through their health insurance.

Redistribution Fee (Community Care Fee): $250 - Optional. For those who have more access to power & privilege. Subsidize therapy for someone else.

*Contact me if you want to discuss sliding scale or redistribution fee options

🌱 Why Sliding Scale/Anti-Oppression Scale? 🌱

The anti-oppression scale exists in order for folx who pay no fee, low fee, and mid-fee to receive therapy because folx who pay the full fee or more help balance sliding scale clients.

This is mutual aid/social solidarity, NOT charity.

Insurance

Out-of-network

I am not accepting insurance at this time. Many people are able to get reimbursed by their insurance provider if they have out-of-network coverage.

I can provide you with the necessary paperwork (“Superbill”) that your insurance provider needs to reimburse you.

Please check with your insurance provider to find out about your eligibility.

Not sure what your benefits are?
That's okay, many of us aren't sure.

Call your insurance company to verify your benefits:

The best way to be sure of your benefits is to clarify information with your insurance company member services line. You can find this phone number on the back of your insurance card or through your online insurance platform.

Ask these questions when speaking to your insurance company about benefits:

  • How much of my deductible has been met this year?

  • What is my out-of-network deductible for outpatient mental health? (Outpatient means treatment outside a hospital such as therapy sessions.)

  • Do I need a referral from an in-network provider to see someone out-of-network?

  • What is my out-of-network reimbursement rate for routine mental health services?

  • How do I submit claim forms for out-of-network reimbursement? (Claims are forms that are sent to your insurance company to receive reimbursement for sessions you paid for out of pocket.)

The No Surprises Act

The No Surprises Act ensures your right to receive information about the cost of therapy before our first session. I commit to discussing the cost of therapy with you and providing you with a Good Faith Estimate.
